Seattle Center Presents 2010 MLK Day

City of Seattle and Seattle Center hosts a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration, "Re-Envision the Dream," an afternoon of entertainment and reflection on how we uphold the dream now that we have our first African-American President of the United States.

The Celebration takes on a youth focus this year with presentation of the MLK Youth Peace Awards, MLK Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Awards and a full afternoon of activities in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (see Program Highlights below).

The Legacy of Leadership Exhibit in Harrison Street Gallery features visual works by MLK award recipients of the past nine years.

Center House at Seattle Center on Monday, Jan. 18, 12 noon - 5 p.m.

To celebrate the dream of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. promote the principles of peace, unity and equality; provide opportunity for all citizens of Seattle to remember the dream and vision of MLK; and honor the citizens who are energizing the MLK dream in their communities.
