Taproot Theatre Company opens its doors to art lovers with its exhibit of paintings by artist Sam Vance during the Greenwood-Phinney Art Walk on Friday, September 11, from 6-9 p.m. Vance, who's been creating art in the Pacific Northwest for more than 20 years, will be showing paintings from his water lily series, a study of the effect of light on water.

Vance has studied art with master painter Gregorio Larsen in Spain, at the Art Institute of Seattle, and at Seattle's Gage Academy.

Taking place on the second Friday of each month, the Greenwood-Phinney Art Walk features work from local artists, discounts from businesses in the neighborhood and more.
