Seattle Theatre Group (STG), the non-profit performing arts operator of the historic Paramount, Moore and Neptune Theatres today announced the appointment of Katherine K. Anderson, CPA as its new Chief Financial Officer. Anderson assumes her role on August 13, 2012.
Anderson brings to her role of CFO, for one of the region's largest performing arts centers, a solid track record of financial management, with over a dozen years experience in managing non-profit finance, as well as skills in growing enterprise value for businesses across diverse industries. She will be responsible for oversight and management of STG's $20+million annual budget. Anderson assumes the position held for the past 13 years by retiring CFO, Clark Van Bogart.
"STG has for years relied on the solid and wise financial management we enjoyed under Clark's leadership, and we are confident that while Katherine will have mighty big shoes to fill, she will step into this role with ease and continue to guide this organization's financial management practices with integrity and care, " stated Josh LaBelle, STG Executive Director. "Katherine is a seasoned and well-respected executive and has a deep knowledge of building and leading world class organizations," he added.
Katherine Anderson, a recipient of the "CFO of the Year" by the Puget Sound Business Journal (2008), most recently served as CFO at Seattle Opera and Seattle Opera Foundation, the leading opera company in Seattle, WA for seven years. Prior to Seattle Opera, Anderson held controller and chief financial officer positions at Casey Family Programs and has more than 20 years experience in financial, business, and non-profit operations.
Anderson began her career in public accounting and First Interstate Bank prior to joining Casey Family Programs and earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Business and Accounting from Humboldt State University.
