City Arts Magazine is thrilled to announce the return of Heineken City Arts Fest, a music and arts festival in Seattle, Washington to be held on October 20-22, 2011, in 20 clubs, halls and venues throughout the city.
Heineken City Arts Fest will feature headline performances from alt-country/ rock singer- songwriter Ryan Adams at Benaroya Hall, dance pop artist Robyn at the Paramount Theatre, rock gods Built to Spill at the Moore Theatre (in their only Northwest performance for 2011), electronic dance purveyors Crystal Castles and the Latin flavored hip hop of Ozomatli -- both with shows at Showbox SoDo. City Arts Fest also marks the return of two critically acclaimed hip-hop acts to grace the Showbox Market stage -- Blackalicious (with its first appearance since 2006) & legendary collective Freestyle Fellowship (with its first appearance in 10 years, with original line-up). Other notable acts include Shelby Lynne, The Long Winters, Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine, Mudhoney, the recently reunited Fastbacks, and The Felice Brothers; to up and comers Allen Stone, Campfire OK, Pictureplane, Male Bonding, USF, and more. New this year is the inclusion of the Seattle Laser Dome, hosting "evening with" performances from the likes of Seattle's School of Rock (performing grunge classics), Man Man and Helio Sequence -- set to a laser light show.Ticketing information: Passes starting at $69 will go on sale on August 5th at www.cityartsfest.com.
