Reboot Theatre to Host 12 Hour Telethon ImageFor the final push of Reboot Theatre Company's $5,500 fundraising campaign, the intrepid company is hosting a twelve-hour telethon live on the internet from the Slate Theater.

Programming will include astrology readings, soap opera serials, ineptly done Pinterest crafts, kamikaze karaoke, drinking games, painting landscapes a la a certain dulcet toned painter with a fro, and so much more. The telethon will culminate in a variety show chock full of talented Seattle performers including sketch comedy groups Maple Daddies and Villains, burlesque artists Kia Puckett, Anya Knees, and Smokey Brown, genderqueer drag artist Harvey Gent, special performances by Reboot alum Jesse Calixto and Kit Lascher, and the list keeps growing!

Audiences can watch the telethon live online at www.reboottheatre.org anytime between 10am and 10pm on Tuesday, December 12th and donate to Reboot's Indiegogo campaign, just like a pledge drive.

Audiences can also join the Reboot team at the Slate Theater for the Variety Show at the end of the evening. Tickets for the variety show are $10 and available now at https://reboottelethon.brownpapertickets.com/

"It's going to be weird. It's going to be great. It's going to be very Reboot. What theatre company does a telethon, I ask you?" says Jasmine Joshua, Artistic Director. "We're hoping to reach our fundraising goal by the end of the night. We're at 67% of our goal right now, so it's lofty, but I think people will rally to us. Especially after 12 hours of nonstop madness, I mean, come on!"

Through a combination of nontraditional concept, interpretation, and casting, Reboot Theatre Company's mission is to test new interpretations of established works both as a way for local artists to stretch their wings and for audiences to experience classics in a different light.
