Village Theatre Pied Piper presents the Chasing George Washington: A White House Adventure, co-produced and co-commissioned by the Kennedy Center and the White House Historical Association on Sunday, January 24 at 2:00 PM
Pied Piper has been fostering imagination and stimulating young people's interest in reading for nearly a decade. With a focus on "bringing literature to life" this unique program gives children a chance to see their favorite stories in a whole new light.
The Pied Piper slogan takes on a whole new meaning with the upcoming production of Chasing George Washington. The story follows three students who inadvertently knock George Washington out of his portrait and into real life. Now, the chase is on for these students to find the nation's first president and get him back into his painting. Along the way, the threesome will come face to face with other White House residents, including Abraham Lincoln and Jacqueline Kennedy. It's history like you've never seen it before!
Chasing George Washington plays at the Everett Civic Auditorium on Sunday, January 24, 2010. In addition to the public performances, school matinee performances of Chasing George Washington will also take place at the Everett Civic Auditorium (January 25, 2010 - 10:00 AM and Noon). School performances may be arranged by calling Village Theatre's Youth Education office at (425) 257-6343.
