A deadpan Tennessee fairy tale for grown-ups with a live guitar soundscape launches theater simple's 25th anniversary season in the West Coast premiere of TILT ANGEL by Dan Dietz, directed by Andrew Litzky with Selena Whitaker-Paquiet, Llysa Holland, Spike Huntington-Klein and Carter Rodriquez. TILT ANGEL is an outsized and fantastic coming-of-age fairy tale concerning a ghost-mom, an outsized agoraphobic son, a volatile 3rd generation auto repair Dad and a heavenly messenger with unfinished business. This magically deadpan fairy tale where family secrets can pitch the world off-axis and a ghost transubstantiates into the garden.
Music composed and performed live by Michael James Adams. Designed by Doris Black (costumes), Tim Wratten (lights), Ryan Gelskey (set/props) and Dave Crowther (video).
Performances will run at West of Lenin, 203 N 36th St, Seattle, WA, USA 98103 (a few blocks west of the Statue of Lenin, Fremont) from May 1 to 17, 2015, playing Thurs-Sat at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
