Legendary composer
Philip Glass celebrates his 75
th birthday this year and on October 25, 2012 will reunite with Seattle resident and renowned
kora playerFoday Musa Suso to perform new works on the KPC stage.
Philip Glass and Foday Musa Suso last worked together on the score for the 1988 feature length non-narrative film
Powaqqatsi. Adventurous patrons will also appreciate the rock-star style performance of classical violin prodigy, and student of
Itzhak Perlman,Hahn-Bin, while longtime Seattle-area residents will rejoice as the great American bluegrass, jazz, country fiddler Mark O'Connor returns to his birthplace to play with
Jane Monheit.
New this year is limited quantity VIP passes for select performances. Three shows (outlined below) in the Fall line-up offer VIP access. Patrons with VIP tickets will have the opportunity for an onstage meet and greet with the artists, memorabilia, special seating, and more.
