WICA hosts "POW" (Politics of War) an exhibit of works by local artists (listed below), through the end of June. This fabulous art show compliments Frost/Nixon, by Peter Morgan, now running at WICA. The art show will relate thematically to the Vietnam era and how Richard Nixon impacted politics and society at every level.
'This Was Then, That Is Now,' an assemblage by Richard Evans, is a play on the cliche "that was then, this is now," intended to serve as a reminder that "we have little choice but to keep trying to poke a hole in the cloud of war."
Participating artists are: Judith Burns, Jim Carroll, Les Dunner, Richard Evans, Dan Freeman, Steve Ford, Georgia Gerber, David Isles, Maxine Junge, Susan Kampion, Barbara Kelly, Kirk Prindle, Pat McVay, Hank Nelson, Kathleen Otley, Eric Purser, Bill Ruth, Rob Schouten, Lee Wexler and Dorit Zingarelli.
Frost/Nixon, by Peter Morgan, opened on June 8 and runs through June 23, 2012 at 7:30 PM, directed by Richard Evans. For more information on all events, visit wicaonline.com or call 360.221.8268 – 800/638.7631.
