New York comic dervish Julie Goldman brings her latest solo show to Seattle for an exclusive four-night engagement, May 21 - 24 at the Theatre Off Jackson.
Described as a "kick ass comic" (New York Press) and "charmingly deviant" (Village Voice), Goldman is outrageous, outspoken, fearless, righteous, uncensored and openly lesbian.
She is a cast member of the "Big Gay Sketch Show" and the star of the "Julie Goldman Celesbian Interviews" on LOGO. She has been featured on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and performs regularly with "The Jap Show: Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad." Julie is a 2007 MAC Award winner (Manhattan Association of Clubs and Colleges), and she most recently received the 2008 NewNowNext: Brink of Fame Comic Award in NYC.
Goldman is also the host and creator of Offensive Women, a live monthly Comedy show in New York and Los Angeles that features both up-and-coming and established women comics performing fearless, uncensored comedy. Offensive Women is also launching a series of web videos showcasing the best female comedians around. "We're the next generation of feminist loudmouths," says Goldman, "and we're gonna say whatever we damn well please. Audiences won't know what hit them."
Goldman co-starred in "Big Dreams in Little Hope" and has a role in "Out At The Wedding," which is currently playing at film festivals around the country. She has a smash hit with her new music video, "Commitment Ceremony" (with BGSS cast mate, Kate McKinnon). Goldman lives in NY with her illegal wife and pug son Russell.
