Metropolitan Performing Arts Presents BEANSTALK!  Image

Exactly like nothing you've ever seen before, not even in a book! This fun, family show follows the adventures of Jack, a young boy with his head in the clouds and Wog the not so frightening giant on top of the beanstalk. Filled with hilarious characters, toe-tapping tunes and more twists than a climbing vine, this is the one show that's guaranteed to grow and grow and grow right into your heart.

Tickets are now on sale at www.MetropolitanPerformingArts.org. Produced by Metropolitan Performing Arts (MPA), Beanstalk! is a unique stage adaptation of the timeless classic, portrayed by young actors part of the MPA musical theater program. Directed by Laura Hankins with musical direction by Kaleb Burriss and choreography by Shannon Jung.

Performances run for only one weekend March 6th-8th at the Metropolitan Performing Arts black box theater located at 6403 E Mill Plain Blvd in the heart of central Vancouver. Catch a show on Friday at 6pm, Saturday at 2pm & 6pm or Sunday at 11am & 2pm. Advance tickets are $12-$14. Discounted tickets are offered for the Sunday 11am family day show at $10 a piece. Stay after the show for a meet and greet with the cast!

Metropolitan Performing Arts (MPA) is a Vancouver based non-profit academy and community theater that offers professional, technique driven classes in acting, dance, music and tech. Their mission is to enrich the community by providing performance and educational opportunities in the live arts. The cast of Beanstalk! is part of the Musical Theater Program.
