The Love Markets are a Weimar Berlin-inspired band who make songs of love and revolution. Their albums BEAUTY FACTORY and WORLD OF YOUR DREAMS find heroes in unlikely places, combining subversive wit, exuberant soul, and the misfit glee of an all-night sideshow with the sounds of songwriter Angie Louise's sultry vocals and adventurous keys, Robertson Witmer's expressive accordion, David Marriott Jr.'s shape-shifting trombone, Dave Pascal's dexterously juicy bass, and Chris Monroe's sinuous drums. www.thelovemarkets.com
The Sirens Of Swing pay tribute to classic vocal trios such as the Boswell Sisters and the Andrews Sisters, taking audiences on a musical journey back to the 1930s and '40s full of sass and romance. Featuring Seattle cabaret luminaries Karen Kay Cody, Joanne Klein and Jayne Muirhead, the Sirens boast lush harmonies, jive rhythms, original arrangements by pianist John Engerman, and comic antics worthy of The Three Stooges (if the Stooges sang like angels).
