More about ... Year of the Rooster
Year of the Rooster is a dark and funny play about the underground culture of cock-fighting, and about the consuming drive to be a winner; a comedic attack on rural poverty, animal cruelty and toxic masculinity in America. Year of the Rooster is written by New York based, trans playwright Olivia Dufault, and directed by Peggy Gannon. Starring Brandon Ryan as Gil Pepper and featuring Shane Regan as the rooster, the cast is completed with the acting talents of Mia Morris, Zenaida Smith, and Lantz Wagner.Shunpike, our fiscal sponsors.
