Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy (MPAA) is proud to present Patricia Gray's stage adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's timeless tale of magic, treasure, and dragons. The Hobbit follows the quest of Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo's easy-going life is altered when he makes an out-of-character decision to join forces with a curious wizard and throng of dwarves to reclaim their town of Dale.

With action-packEd Battles, melodious chants and surprises around every corner- Bilbo stumbles across a special ring and discovers an unexpected heroic side of himself in the process. With direction by Paul Angelo, stage combat choreography by Kristen Mun and vocal direction by MPAA's Executive Director, Barbara Richardson, The Hobbit is a theatrical experience fun for the whole family. Die-hard Tolkein fans and anyone going mad living alone in a dark cave will enjoy this precious story.

The Hobbit opens Friday, June 2nd at Portland5's Brunish Theatre. It's an affordable night out in downtown Portland at only $12 a ticket (processing fees may apply). Be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time, as there are only 6 opportunities to see the show!
