The very first live recording of the Under The Puppet podcast has been added to FELT-A-CON 2018. Hosted by Grant Baciocco (The Jim Henson Company, Mystery Science Theatre 3000), Under the Puppet LIVE! will feature an interview plus an audience Q&A. The event will be open to the public, as well as festival attendees, and will take place August 11 at 2pm.

FELT-A-CON 2018 is the third iteration of the small, Seattle-based puppet festival, which is a biennial weekend of activities celebrating the art of puppeteering. Baciocco is the special guest artist for this year's festival and will be teaching a podcasting workshop in addition to the live podcast recording.

"I'm really excited about this event," said Baciocco. "A live recording of Under The Puppet is something I've wanted to do for awhile."

Under The Puppet is a monthly podcast that talks to professional puppeteers about the business of puppetry. Baciocco's guest for this episode will be the Master Puppet Artisan for Seattle Children's Theatre, Annett Mateo.

In addition to Under the Puppet LIVE!, registration for FELT-A-CON 2018 includes access to at least 4 workshops, the Makers' Room sponsored by Seattle ReCreative, Saturday lunch, admission to Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam Vol. 15, plus all other festival events.

Local puppet professionals will lead workshops on a wide variety of topics, including tabletop puppetry, writing for Punch and Judy, and building puppets from recycled materials.

FELT-A-CON 2018 is presented in association with Theatre Off Jackson and Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam. Sponsored in part by Puppeteers of Puget Sound and Seattle ReCreative. Fiscally sponsored by Shunpike.
