Live Girls! will present the Northwest Premiere Trista Baldwin's play Patty Red Pants. Opening night is set for April 21st.
A chance encounter between old friends raises unsettling questions about their girlhood, a time when desire bloomed in the shadow of a murder of their peer. Suspended in a web of memories, this gripping coming-of-age, post-Red Riding Hood tale lurches between reality and dream as Patty Red Pants chases the truth of her own past.
Directed by Joy Fairfield, Patty Red Pants features Kristina Sutherland, Erin Stewart and Jason Sharp.
Playwright Trista Baldwin's plays have been produced and developed throughout the

Australia/>/> by groups such as The Guthrie, La Mama, New Georges, The Empty Space Theatre, Actors Theater of Phoenix, Circle X , Stark Raving Theater, BPP,
Chicago Dramatists, Urban Stages and HB Playwrights' Foundation.
Patty Red Pants was selected for the National New Play Network's 2004 New Play Showcase. Other plays include

Minneapolis/>/>. She is an affiliated artist of New Georges and a member of the HB Playwrights' Workshop.
Director Joy Fairfield is a recent graduate of
Harvard/>
University/>/>. This is Joy's second collaboration with Live Girls!, where she recently directed a new work from Dickey Nesenger commissioned as part of
Holiday xx. Since coming to
Seattle/>/> she has worked in the literary department at The Empty Space Theatre and assistant directed at On The Boards and The Intiman Theatre. She also plays electric violin in the
Seattle/>/> rock band VigilSpec.
Live Girls! is dedicated to producing and developing new work by women. They moved into their new theater space in Ballard in May of 2005.
