Launch Into Spring With SILHOUETTE From Scotto Moore and Eddie DeHais ImageLaunch yourself into spring with Silhouette, an original a cappella science-fiction musical, an epic tale about imperialism and resistance crafted by the incomparable collaborative team of Scotto Moore and Eddie DeHais

Silhouette features a star studded cast almost entirely of women, nonbinary and trans performers: Miranda Troutt (Sound Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre), Emily Jo Testa (Art Associate of Akropolis Performance Lab), Aviona Rodriguez Brown (5th Avenue's AMT Educational Tour), and we are just over the moon to have Emily Pike (Scary Mary & the Nightmares Nine, Freehold Engaged Theatre) and Sam Ro (Bunnies, Annex Artistic Associate) back on our stage again.

Playwright Scotto Moore is back and better than ever before with his most ambitious and complex show to date. You know him from Annex sci-fi classics such as A Mouse Who Knew Me, Duel of the Linguistic Mages, and his Annex debut interlace [falling star]. We welcome back director Eddie DeHais after a triumphant high directing Scary Mary & the Nightmares Nine. You may have seen their revolutionary work as the founding Artistic Director of Dangerswitch! or or at Cafe Nordo's with their scintillating Sundown at the Devil's House.

"Silhouette is my return to epic science fiction stories on stage, after several smaller shows in a row. It's a complex, challenging exploration of the nature & cost of resistance, featuring a big cast and a lush score. The main character of Silhouette [Miranda, played by Mandy Rose Nichøls (ACME) is a former military captain who led an unsuccessful mutiny, has a chance for revenge. She also has two daughters now and a settlement to protect, but the Fleet could find them at any moment if she doesn't act decisively. Her situation is timely: how can you effectively resist a dominant power without becoming the thing you fight?" - Playwright/Director Scotto Moore

In Silhouette, a small, secret town on a distant planet, a group of mutineers live in hiding from an imperialist, genocidal military fleet. When a scout ship from that fleet crashes near their settlement, the mutineers are forced to consider brutal options for their survival, while the young pilot of the scout ship faces the prospect of never seeing her home again.
