Explore collage processes and a variety of assemblage techniques with an emphasis on creative visual thinking. In this two-and-a-half day workshop, students will use a wide variety of materials and approaches to discover their unique and artistic collage identity. A large range of art mediums and material sources are provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies (i.e., decorative papers, personal collections, old books, etc.) to incorporate into their collage work.

Larry Calkins is a professional artist with an extensive teaching career that includes a residency at Tacoma's Museum of Glass. His work has appeared nationally at the American Primitive Gallery in New York and Gallery 500 in Philadelphia. He is represented in Seattle by G. Gibson Gallery.
