Jet City Improv is excited to announce its upcoming slate of six productions in its Jet City Improv Presents series, five productions in a new series known as JCI Late Night, and the continuation of two year-round staples now in their 24th year.

Jet City Improv Presents is an ongoing series of new ensemble works that present improvised stories complete with sets, costumes, and props like a traditional scripted performance. Despite a more polished appearance, the art and spirit of improvisation still lie at the heart of each performance and every story is created based on unique suggestions and input provided by the audience.

New for the 2015-2016 season is the JCI Late Night series on Saturday nights. These productions aim to push the boundaries of theater, uniting performers and audiences around a few thematic rules and setting them loose in pursuit of fast, funny, intelligent comedy that holds nothing back.

With these series, along with their flagship Jet City Improv show and movie re-dubbing show Twisted Flicks, Jet City Improv continues to pursue its mission of enlightening, educating and entertaining audiences through the art of improvisation.

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER

Created by Anthony van Winkle
Directed by Anthony van Winkle and Adina Gillett
Take the helm of a high seas pirate adventure amid the thunder of cannons and crashing of waves at a brand new unscripted theatrical experience. Every performance will feature a new tale of adventure, love, infamy, and rum based on suggestions from the audience.

JCI Late Night (Sat 10:30, Oct 3-24, Nov 7-21 2015)
Worst Trip Ever IN ALL CAPS!!1!
Created and directed by John Boyle

The improvised stories behind the worst reviews of the world's greatest places. Audiences help select real one-star reviews of otherwise revered attractions on popular online travelogue TripAdvisor.com before a team of improvisers present some the hilarious circumstances they believe lead to the anonymous user's vitriol.

DECEMBER

Jet City Improv Presents (Thu & Fri 8pm, Dec 3-18 2015)
Antiques Improv Show
Created and directed by Kris Corbitt
Real antiques and curiosities brought on stage by members of the audience will soon spill their secrets. Hidden histories will come to life through improvised stories inspired by each object and every appraisal will put its owner in the running for real prizes and rewards.

JCI Late Night (Fri & Sat 10:30, Nov 27 - Dec 19 2015)
Uncle Mike Ruins Christmas
Created and directed by Douglas S Willott

Once-sacred holiday memories provided by the audience are invaded by the obscene, vulgar, and generally perverse mind of Uncle Mike (played by Mike Murphy, who returns for his ninth season in this role). Every tale is a new escape for those wishing to replace the sickening sweetness of some holiday specials with a completely different sickening feeling.

JANUARY/FEBRUARY

Jet City Improv Presents (Thu & Fri 8pm, Jan 7 - Feb 12 2016)
Tall Tales
Created and directed by Ian Schempp
How did the robin get its red breast? How'd the moon get hung up so high? Curious souls from far and wide are invited to gather 'round the campfire, ask a big question, and hear one doozy of a tale in the style of American folk classics like Paul Bunyan and Pecos Bill.

JCI Late Night (Sat 10:30, Jan 9 - Feb 13 2016)
Every Movie Is A Musical
Created and directed by Douglas S Willott

An improvised attempt to find the next film-to-stage sensation before Broadway does. A talented team of improv comedians and musicians give a variety of movies selected by the audience a brand new musical treatment, be it a love song, the grand finale, or something in-between, all in different musical theater styles.

MARCH/APRIL

Jet City Improv Presents (Thu & Fri 8pm, Mar 3 - Apr 22 2016)
Solid Is The New Stripes
Created by Britney Barber and Mandy Price

Directed by Andrew McMasters

JCI Late Night (Sat 10:30, Mar 5 - Apr 23 2016)
Funbucket
Created and directed by Douglas S Willott

Bring any glorious item to put in the Funbucket (except liquids or anything from a body) and watch it become an amazing unpredictable experience unlike anything you've ever seen. Funbucket can be (and often is) highly offensive, rude, graphic, obscene, and fun.

MAY/JUNE

Jet City Improv Presents (Thu & Fri 8pm, May 5-20 2016)
Very Special Episode
Created by Laura Turner
Shoplifting. Drugs. Anonymous text messages. These dangers and more await today's improvisers, but when we bring together our diverse group of friends and throw in a couple of responsible adults to wrap it all up, we'll all be safer and wiser for having seen this Very Special Episode.

Jet City Improv Presents (Thu & Fri 8pm, June 2-17 2016)
Trivia Night at Ricks
Created by Mike Christensen
Grab your brainiest friends and form a trivia team for this audience interactive experience. Each audience team plays against the world's worst trivia team, and gets insight into how these losers justify and play out their bizarre and constantly wrong answers. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team from the audience who scores the most points.

JCI Late Night (Sat 10:30, May 7 - June 18 2016)
What If?
Created and directed by Ian Schempp and Britney Barber

An improvised play about the stories that exist for the choices that never happened. Inspired by the movie Sliding Doors and Run Lola Run, this comedy features actors exploring multiple timelines of a story created by the choices of the audience.
