Theatre Off Jackson will present Seattle/>/> playwright Keri Healey's Cherry Cherry Lemon April 21st through May 13th.

Cherry Cherry Lemon was a sold-out hit at both the 2001 Seattle Fringe Festival and Re-bar, and was selected as one of Seattle/>/>'s Best Productions of 2001 by The Stranger. The play features actors Kate Czajkowski and Keira McDonald and musician Eric Branner in a provocative and funny examination of the chaos of love. This brisk, hour-long play opens fire on ex-lovers and small penises, org*sms with bad dates, and the humiliation of psychotherapy.

A sad twist of fate in a hospital brings together Kate, an awkward woman still reeling from her divorce of two years, and Keira, a non-committal party gal. Their accidental friendship develops slowly in bars, on dance floors, and in after-hours conversations about their sexual misdeeds and missed opportunities.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer has described Cherry Cherry Lemon as a "laugh-out-loud comedy mixed with bittersweet moments that make you realize that the hardest part of relationships is trying to let them go. Live solo guitar provides an excellent backdrop...to this single women's take on sex, love and how one doesn't always mean the other."

Healey will also direct her play with lighting design by Patti West and original music by Aaron Loidhamer.

Theatre Off Jackson is located in the heart of Seattle/>/>'s International District. Theatre Off Jackson's renowned concessions bar will host a pre-show Happy Hour from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on performance nights with great drink specials. On Friday and Saturday nights, stay after the show for more surprises from the bar.
