Forward Flux Productions will present the North West Regional premiere reading of Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich's beautiful new play Still Life at the next Flux Salon gathering in Seattle. In addition to the reading, there will be a musical performance by beat-box artist Zeke Keeble. The Flux Salon presents new works by fresh voices in intimate spaces throughout the city, and this marks the second in a series of three Salons featuring plays by female playwrights. The Salon is December 9th at 7:00pm by invitation only (email salon@forwardflux.com for invite).

About Still Life: Three people become inextricably linked after a series of subway bombings shut down their city. There's Lydia, whose daughter Jackie hasn't returned after leaving for the subway that day. There's Donald, her disagreeable son-in-law, who is paralyzed by the grief and guilt that bind him to Lydia. Lastly, there's a celebrated photographer who makes Lydia her first human subject by taking daily Polaroids of her phone chats with Jackie during lunch. Still Life offers a beautiful look at the ways in which we move on in the face of tragedy.

The reading will be presented by Aimée Bruneau, Conner Neddersen, and Yesenia Iglesias.
