Forward Flux Productions announces their 2016 season, running from March to October. This marks the company's second year in Seattle after relocating from New York City in early 2015. Forward Flux is a dynamic live arts Production Company that presents innovative projects designed to connect people with art in unexpected ways. "We are thrilled to bring another line up of the best new plays from emerging playwrights around the country to Seattle," said Artistic Director Wesley Frugé. After ending 2015 with the hit production of Green Whales by Lia Romeo ("Top Ten of 2015" -David-Edward Hughes), the company will be presenting Romeo's newest play, Ends of the Earth as part of The Flux Salon series. Romeo says, "Forward Flux does everything right. They present plays that are innovative but also audience-friendly, and they showcase new writers and under-represented voices."

The 2016 season will culminate with two main stage theatrical productions, both playing from September 20th - October 8th. On most dates you can see both plays in one night for a double feature of provocative new works, both under 90mins with no intermission. The first is the west coast premiere of The Wedding Gift by Chisa Hutchinson. Hutchinson's play Dead & Breathing was recently seen at The National Black Theatre in Manhattan. She is the recipient of numerous awards including a GLAAD Award and she is currently a Humanitas Fellow. It will run in rotation with the world premiere of The Summer House, by Sarah Bernstein. The Summer House started with Forward Flux in 2015 as part of The Flux Salon series, and the company has been working closely with Bernstein to develop the piece since then.

In addition, Forward Flux will continue their popular series, The Flux Salon. The Salon is an arts gathering that features readings of brand new plays, live music, visual art and/or other performances in secret locations throughout Seattle. The series will feature plays from Lauren Yee, Michael Yichao, Benjamin Benne, Sarah Saltwick and more.

Forward Flux will also run non-theatrical programming including What the Float (a silent disco) and collaborate:create (a 21 day artist residency produced with Parley Productions).
