Tacoma Little Theatre and Fools Play Improv are excited to announce the return of Fools Play Improv to TLT as a recurring show every fourth Saturday, 10:30pm each month (except December) until July 2017, and perhaps beyond.

Formed by two sets of brothers, Michael and Christopher Harris, and Geoff and Edward Gibbs, Fools Play began their journey at the Tacoma Little Theatre in 1994 and has been performing Improv Comedy ever since in the Puget Sound area. Most recently, the troupe could be found at the Tacoma Youth Theatre but is now returning to the place it all started. A whole new generation of Fools, along with some familiar old friends will be bringing 23 years of experience creating and building their own unique brand of Improv back to the TLT stage.

Each show will last from 10:30 PM until 12:00 including a mid-show intermission. Concessions, including alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from Tacoma Little Theatre, and Tickets will cost $10.00.

The October 22nd Opening night will feature special guests, Ubiquitous They of the University of Puget Sound.

Over the years Fools Play has evolved from the humble beginning of a short-form theater games team to create their own style of Improv unlike any other. Recurring character worlds, improvised backstage storylines that spanned seasons, virtual performers that interact with live on stage performers, and many more creative experiments have peppered the history of the troupe. Under the direction of Josh Hird, The Maroon Fool, the new Tacoma Little Theatre incarnation of Fools Play will often feature guest improvisers, comedians, and musicians, providing rich interactions for a fast-paced and yet intimate first half of the show, while the second half of the show will typically be a style of narrative Longform that tells a story more slowly but doesn't hold back.

The show is usually appropriate for anyone over the age of 16, however improvisers and guests are totally uncensored so adult themes and language will occur.

Interested in joining Fools Play or being a guest in the show? Please feel free to contact the troupe.
