BPA Theatre School begins taking enrollments for the Spring Session (mid-April - late May) on February 12. The Spring Session includes offerings in five primary programs: Developing Actors, Building Character, Teen Intensive, Performance Series, and Specialty Classes. BPA is also delighted open enrollment for the "SEUSSICAL JR. Production Camp" (July 6 - August 1) and the "Intermediate Intensive + SEUSSICAL JR. Production Camp" (June 29 - August 1). Led by experienced teaching artists, BPA Theatre School provides year-round classes and camps for all ages and experience levels.

Noted for the benefits it provides in creativity, social skills, and brain development, BPA's Developing Actors program focuses on developing capable people as well as future performers. Classes include "Story Drama" led by Director of Education Zandi Carlson for Ages 3 ½ -5 and "Creative Drama - Tree House Adventures" with instructor Rachael LeValley for Grades K - 1.

BPA Theatre School's Building Character program emphasizes ensemble building, pursuing objectives, overcoming obstacles, and using voice and body to create captivating characters. Classes include "Developing Stage Presence" for Grades 2 - 4 and "Physical Comedy" for Grades 4 - 6), both taught by Rachael LeValley.

As part of a year-long program, Zandi Carlson teaches the Teen Intensive Program along with guest artists, who are also working theatre professionals. This quarter, Zandi Carlson and many special guests lead classes and rehearsals for Grades 8 - 12. Students will create a never-been-seen-before variety show. Showcasing scene-work, to singing and juggling, to gymnastics, teens will also get to rehearse and perform with BPA staff in the "Teen & Staff Showcase" June 5.

BPA Theatre School's Performance Series program is about more than just getting on stage. When it comes to performing, BPA's educational program inspires confidence building, character building, community building, and celebrating the joy of artistic expression. This spring Zandi Carlson leads students, Grades 2 - 4 in the delightful "Dilemma of Humpty Dumpty," while Julia Beers leads students, Grades 5 - 7 in "Sideways Stories from Wayside School."

Designed specifically with our students in mind, BPA Theatre School's Specialty Classes offer unique learning opportunities for students. The ability to read and learn music is essential for the theatre performer, and this spring, we've crafted a special class for Grades 4 & Up led by Michelle Abad: "Sight Reading and Music Theory for Singers." Students, Grades 5 & Up are encouraged to take the ever-popular "Dance Theatre" class with Zandi Carlson.

BPA's summer production camp for Grades 4 - 10 offers students the opportunity to rehearse and perform a full production complete with music, choreography, and technical support provided by theatre professionals and experienced instructors. This year's camp focuses on the hit show "SEUSSICAL JR.," where Dr. Seuss's best-loved characters cavort in an unforgettable musical caper! An extra week of class is available for Grades 6 - 10 with the "Intermediate Intensive + SEUSSICAL JR. Production Camp." BPA Theatre School will open registrations for an additional array of exciting classes for the Summer Session in March.
