Dukesbay Productions Presents AGNES OF GOD

Part drama, part mystery, part spiritual journey.

A young novice nun, Sister Agnes, gives birth to a baby who is found dead. But Agnes knows nothing of her pregnancy, the birth, or who the father is. Could this be a miracle...or a murder?

Agnes of God leads the audience toward the search for truth and the meaning of faith. A court- appointed psychiatrist faces off against the over-protective Mother Superior while investigating Sister Agnes' sanity to stand trial. What will the doctor conclude, and what will ultimately happen to Agnes?

Dukesbay Productions was founded in 2011 by Tacoma theatre artists Randy Clark and Aya Hashiguchi Clark. Randy has been active in the Tacoma theatre scene as an actor and director since the 1970s. His work has been seen at Lakewood Playhouse, Tacoma Little Theatre and Theatre NW. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Tacoma Little Theatre. Aya has appeared at several Seattle/Tacoma theatres, including ReAct Theatre, SIS Productions,

Renton Civic Theatre, Tacoma Musical Playhouse and Lakewood Playhouse, and served as producer for 8 plays and a Playwrights Festival for Burien Actors Theatre.

Dukesbay Productions' mission is to promote independent theatre in Tacoma and to showcase the works of theatre artists of all ethnicities.

About the Playwright John Pielmeier is an actor, novelist, screenwriter and playwright. Other plays he has written include Voices in the Dark, Haunted Lives, The Boys of Winter and Courage, a one-man show about J.M. Barrie.

About the Cast Agnes of God features the talents of Laurie Sifford as the Mother Superior Miriam Ruth, Maria Valenzuela as Dr. Livingstone and Cecilia Lewis as Sister Agnes.
