Cast Complete for PRIDE AND PREJUDICE Stage Adaptation at Seattle Rep

Seattle Repertory Theatre today announced the full ensemble cast of its highly anticipated West Coast premiere of Kate Hamill's (Bedlam's Sense & Sensibility) playful stage adaptation of arguably the most popular of Jane Austen's novels, Pride and Prejudice.

Set to run September 29 through October 29, 2017 (opening night October 4), tickets to Pride and Prejudice are on sale now through the Seattle Rep Box Office at 206.443.2222 and online at SeattleRep.org.

Featuring an array of well-known-to-Seattle faces, the complete casting for Pride and Prejudic includes Kjerstine Anderson as Lizzy; Kenajuan Bentley as Mr. Darcy; Cheyenne Casebier as Mrs. Bennet; Emily Chisholm as Jane/Miss de Bourgh; Trick Danneker as Mr. Bingley/Mary; Hana Lass as Lydia/Lady Catherine; Rajeev Varma as Mr. Bennet/Charlotte Lucas; and Brandon O'Neill as Wickham/Miss Bingley/Mr. Collins.

Kate Hamill's madcap adaptation of Pride and Prejudice is full of irreverent surprises, but committed fans to the text will find that the story remains intact, simply told through Hamill's unique, critically acclaimed lens, led by a cast of remarkable talents.

"Pride and Prejudice is a comedy about love, and marriage, and people," director Amanda Dehnert comments. "I believe it's important that we reflect onstage both the communities we make our work in, and the world at large." The cast ofPride and Prejudice features not just talents from New York City, but a collection of local faces as well.

Last seen at Seattle Rep in the highly praised LBJ play series (All The Way and The Great Society) comes Kenajuan Bentley as the famed Mr. Darcy. Bentley has performed all over the country including The Public Theater, Red Bull Theater, OSF, and Shakespeare & Company stages, and has made television appearances on ABC's "Scandal," HBO's "Doll and Em," and CBS' "The Young And The Restless." He will play opposite first-time Seattle Rep performer Kjerstine Anderson as Lizzy. She has been seen at ACT in Assassins and Tribes, spent seven years with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and more. Much-loved local actor Cheyenne Casebier joins the cast after last being seen at Seattle Rep in Sherlock Holmes and The American Problem, amongst many other Rep productions. Her regional credits include five seasons at the Guthrie Theater, Long Wharf, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and her television and film credits include "John Adams," "Two and a Half Men," and more. Multi-award-winning local actor and original cast member of Disney's Aladdin Brandon O'Neill joins this cast after performances in A View From The Bridge atSeattle Rep; Guys and Dolls, Rent, and Cinderella at The 5th Avenue Theatre; as Uldren Sov in Bungie's video game franchise Destiny; and more. Hana Lass was most recently seen at SeattleRep in last season's Dry Powder and before that in the wildly popular The Hound of the Baskervilles. She has graced many local stages including ACT, Seattle Children's Theatre, SeattleShakespeare Co., and more. Trick Danneker was last seen at the Rep in The Servant of Two Masters, Speech & Debate, and The Great Gatsby. Emily Chisholm was last seen at the Rep inOutside Mullinger, and has stage credits with The Seagull Project, ACT, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and more. Rajeev Varma can currently be seen as Hasmukh in the comedy series "Brown Nation" on Netflix. His television and film credits are vast and include "1000 Apologies," NZ's first primetime, Indo-Asian sketch comedy show, "The Millen Baird Show," "1nite," "The Price of Milk," and more.
