Blood Ensemble is proud to announce 30 Hours: Don't grow up; it's a trap, a 30-minute new work. 30 Hours will perform tonight, August 7th at 7:30pm & 8:30pm at Stone Soup Theater.
The brain child of Blood Ensemble Co-Artistic Director Emily Harvey, 30 Hours will use the group's signature technique of Moment Work to take them from nothing to a complete 30-minute show in just 30 hours of rehearsal. Before the project began, the group voted on the theme "Don't grow up; it's a trap" as their hunch.
Emily Harvey, the project lead says, "At this point we have no idea if it's going to be a comedy or a drama, scripted, surrealistic, neo-futurist, burlesque. It's like 14/48, except it's more like 1/30."
Project collaborator and Blood Ensemble Company member Samantha Cooper is excited for this project, stating "I think it is a good challenge for us to work with 'the exquisite pressure of time' and keep our skills sharp while we're not in the middle of a larger project."
