Bainbridge Performing Arts will stage MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, presented by Merrill Lynch Wealth Maangement and opening December 5. Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table- featuring cows, killer rabbits, and a Diva to end all divas.
Director Ken Michels (Avenue Q, The Full Monty, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Shrek, The Musical, and The Santaland Diaries is so pleased to return to BPA for this production, saying, "When Heather Dawson agreed to choreograph Spamalot, the word spectacular came into play. Come be silly and enjoy a spectacular evening of fun.." MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT appears at BPA December 5 - 21, with shows Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. plus Sundays at 3:00 p.m. The run includes one exception and one addition: the Saturday, December 6 performance is a 3:00 p.m. matinee, and there is a special Industry Night performance Monday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. A Pay-What-You-Can Preview will be held Thursday, December 4 at7:30 p.m., and the Opening Night Reception is Friday, December 5 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, $27 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $19 for students, youth, military, and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island.
