Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) presents It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play and The Edge Improv on December 7, 14 & 21: Saturdays @ 7:30 p.m. at BPA.
Just in time for the season, this family-friendly holiday production brings new meaning and sounds to the heartwarming story of good will and cheer. It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is a fully-staged take on a timeless classic - just like you heard it on the radio in 1947!
Inspired by the classic American film, and adapted and directed by Frank Buxton, BPA's production is performed as a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. An ensemble of talented actors including Steve Stolee, Frank Buxton, John Ellis, John Green, Matt LeDorze, Fred Saas, Andrew Tribolini, FRed Nicholson, Ann Wilkinson Ellis, Mike Grigoni, Diane Walker, Barbara W. ten Hove, Dee McComb, Greg Millerd, Emile LeDorze, Nobell Bennett, Ruby MacFarlane, John Anderson, and Sue Anderson perform the dozens of characters in the radio play as well as produce the sound effects.
The Edge Improv, featuring Ken Ballenger, Frank Buxton, John Ellis, Cynthia Lair, Susan MacPherson, Bhama Roget, Andrew Shields, Chris Soldevilla, and Matty Whitman, makes a special holiday appearance for ACT II in this holiday performance for all ages.
It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play and The Edge Improv appear at BPA December 7, 14, and 21, with shows Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. A special Opening Night Reception will be held Saturday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, $27 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $19 for students, youth, military, and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island.
