Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to announce audition dates for THE WIZARD OF OZ, September 10 and 11 at BPA. Dorothy thinks she is lost forever when a terrifying tornado crashes through Kansas and whisks her and her dog, Toto, far away to the magical land of Oz. To get home Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City and find the wonderfully mysterious Wizard of Oz. Together with her companions - the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion, whom she meets on the way - Dorothy embarks on a strange and enchanting adventure.
Run dates are December 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, and 22, with a Pay-What-You-Can Preview December 6. Rehearsals extend October 9 through December 5, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays @ 6:40 - 9:40 p.m. plus Saturdays @ 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
THE WIZARD OF OZ includes roles for 30-45 men, women, and youth, ages nine (9) and up. A detailed list of characters is available online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org.
Those auditioning are requested to prepare a one to one and a half-minute monologue and 32 bars of a Golden Age Broadway song. An accompanist will be provided but you must bring sheet music - clearly marked and in a three-ring binder. All roles are open to audition.

BPA audition dates for THE WIZARD OF OZ are Monday, September 10 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. for ages 9 - 12, and, for ages 13 and up, auditions are Monday, September 10 from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. OR Tuesday, September 11 from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only, and interested parties are requested to email dhadlock@bainbridgeperformingarts.org to schedule an audition.
