Join us in the BPA Gallery October 6 for an artist reception and an enjoyable evening of art and friends.
Photographer Tom Ciaburri describes his October photography exhibit in the BPA Gallery as a story about spheres that descend one spring night in the Berkshire Hills. Why they appear is unknown. What they are or do is unknown. "Landed" is about the moment of discovery, the moment when - even if just for a second - absolute belief exists, and everything is possible.
Tom says, "As a kid, I always dreamed of finding some object, or witnessing an event that would forever transform my life - allowing me to transcend pain, loneliness, and normalcy - a cure-all. The characters in 'Landed' see their own escape within these spheres - and maybe their own true potential."
The BPA Gallery showcases regional artists in monthly rotating exhibits in the C. Keith Birkenfeld Lobby and regularly participates in the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday - Friday plus one hour prior to each performance. Admission is free, and information is available online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island.
