BPA Gallery Announces January First Friday Art Walk: “Floralscapes”

Join the BPA Gallery January 4 for an artist reception and an enjoyable evening of art and friends. Sandy Haight's paintings will immerse you in the luminous and sensual up-close magnificence of nature's bloom. In "Floralscapes," her work pushes beyond the representational to become dynamic, powerful, and alive to viewers. With painstaking layers of transparent glazes she intensifies the colors to reach glowing depths not usually associated with watercolor paintings.

Sandy was the Bainbridge In Bloom poster artist in 2015 and the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival poster artist in 2016. She recently moved to the island from Seattle to rekindle her ancestral roots and is now working out of a large new studio. She is a Signature Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, NWWS.

The BPA Gallery showcases regional artists in monthly rotating exhibits in the C. Keith Birkenfeld Lobby and regularly participates in the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday - Friday plus one hour prior to each performance.
