Under the direction of ArtsWest's Artistic Director Mathew Wright, Arthur Miller is brought to the stage in a stripped down, elegant and savage production of a tragic love story between father and son. This thrilling work lays bare the raw emotions of love, the desire for success, and then need for compassion in a horror story of shame, guilt and expectations run amok.

DEATH OF A SALESMAN tells the story of the last days of Willy Loman, an aging salesman who cannot understand how he has failed to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife, sons, and his business associates, we discover how his quest for the "American Dream" kept him blind to the people who truly loved him.

The title role of Willy Loman will be played by David Pichette, an actor of great depth that has been an integral part of the Seattle acting community for over thirty years, working regularly at ACT Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, INTIMAN, Seattle Children's Theatre, The Fifth Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre and for the last two seasons has been with the Utah Shakespeare Festival. His most recent Seattle appearances have been at The Fifth Avenue Theatre portraying Major-General Stanley in PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Fagin in OLIVER and Max in THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

Joining David in the cast are Eleanor Moseley as Linda, Drew Highlands as Biff - LUNA GALE (Seattle Repertory Theatre), Kyle Anton Johnson as Happy, Allan Armstrong as Uncle Ben, Tee Dennard as Charley, Kevin Kelly as Bernard, Jason Sanford as Howard/Stanley, Emily Jo Testa as Miss Forsythe/The Woman, and Dedra D. Woods as Jenny/Letta.
