The curtain has gone up at ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery as the 2013-14 Season opened with a fresh new look. In a targeted campaign of re-branding, a new logo was released in mid-August to set the tone for the contemporary, fresh, compelling design that is the hallmark of the changes that were revealed this week.

As Laura Lee, the Managing Director at ArtsWest was quick to explain to everyone she welcomed into both the Preview and Opening Night of THE TAMING, "We have just re-opened our doors to the public and I couldn't be happier. Just look at this place! We have accomplished so much in the past 6 weeks." Lee is referring to both the highly visible changes and those behind the scenes.

The Runnings Family Gallery has been given an extensive facelift with new paint colors and signage that have given the gallery new life and a clean backdrop upon which to display curated shows. "We are so pleased with the makeover in the gallery and lobby areas, we can't wait for you all to see it," exclaims Gallery Director Susanna Bluhm as she echoes the enthusiasm the staff have for ArtsWest.

Other infrastructure upgrades and repairs in plumbing and the theatre floor have also been undertaken, but the most visible addition is the beautifully designed Donor Wall. This wall celebrates historical giving recognizing donations made at a significant level to ArtsWest, and then presents those names in the form of a dynamic piece of art that will grow with ArtsWest as they move into their 15th Anniversary year. "The wall is both subtle and striking and truly represents the mission of ArtsWest," explains Board President Dawn Leverett.

Not neglecting their online presence, ArtsWest this week also launched a total makeover to their website and invite you all to take a look www.artswest.org.

The final changes in the re-branding and freshening will involve the implementation of a new ticketing system, which has begun behind the scenes with an anticipated roll out of November 30th.

"All of these changes have come about because of the dedication and efforts of our Donors, Funders, Board of Directors and Staff," concludes Managing Director Lee. "It is the best 15th Anniversary present we could have. To be able to present a space - physically and online - that not only talks our mission but lets us live it everyday, will give us the ability to take ArtsWest from something good and make it something great. I am looking forward which much energy and enthusiasm to the next 15 years!"
