ArtsWest Playhouse & Gallery Searching for Interim Artistic Director

ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery will immediately begin a search for an Interim Artistic Director. This temporary position will work with the Managing Director and Board in guiding the selection process for the 2014 - 2015 season and in providing consultation and oversight to the production staff for the current 2013 - 2014 season.

The Interim Artistic Director role is designed to be consultative, encouraging a flexible schedule, and will end August 31st, 2014. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the artistic process and should have experience in the selection and production of a theatrical season. The strongest candidates will be familiar with working in the fast-paced non-profit environment and have a clear understanding of how not-for-profit theatres achieve success through partnerships, board level engagement, and community support.

Position competencies would include a clear artistic vision aligned with the mission of ArtsWest, attention to detail, strong negotiation and communication skills, and experience working within a budget.
