For the first time since opening our doors at ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery in 1999, the total number of season subscriptions before the season openshas surpassed the prior year's end-of-season total. Subscriptions goals are normally met or surpassed by the end of a given season, but this year we are celebrating before the season even begins. There are other reasons why 2016 is a remarkable year for ArtsWest: in addition to a record-setting revenue for season subscribers, the number of subscribers is at an all-time high for any season opening in our history.

From Laura Lee, ArtsWest Managing Director: "This is a remarkable moment. We are incredibly fortunate to have a base of loyal patrons who believe in our work, support our vision and share their excitement for the work we do. We welcome everyone to take a journey with us as we embark on our new season."

ArtsWest will celebrate again tomorrow, Thursday, September 22, when the 2016-17 season officially opens with the Richard Eyre adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts. The 2016-17 season continues with Peter and the Starcatcher (November 17 - December 23), Mothers and Sons(January 19 - February 11), Milk Like Sugar (March 2 - March 25), Frozen (April 20 - May 14), and concludes with Sweeney Todd (June 1 - July 1).
