ArtsWest's smash hit production of THE HISTORY BOYS has been chosen as the 2009 TPS Members' Voice for Outstanding Production in Theatre Puget Sound's First Annual Gregory Awards.

In conjunction with Live Theatre Week this October, Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) will present their first annual regional theatre awards. Honors in six categories will be presented in addition to the existing Gregory A. Falls Sustained Achievement Award, now in its twelfth year, for a total of seven awards.

A ballot was voted on during the month of September by the 1,500 members of TPS. Each category listed four nominees as well as a fifth blank slot in which members could write in a candidate.

As a Members' Voice selection, THE HISTORY BOYS was the top write-in candidate for Outstanding Production.

The recipients of the Gregory Award in each category will be announced at an Awards Gala to be held on October 19, 2009 at the Intiman Theatre, 201 Mercer Street, Seattle. Festivities begin at 7:30pm. Details can be found at http://GregoryAwards.org.
