The 5th Avenue Theatre produces top-quality musical revivals, premieres of bound-for-Broadway shows, and presents touring Broadway musicals. They also host a variety of special events, and offer a number of education and outreach programs to school-age children and adults. The 5th Avenue Theatre is Seattle's premier showplace is home to one of the largest and most acclaimed not-for-profit performing arts organizations in the Pacific Northwest. The 5th produces and presents musical theater for a subscription audience of over 23,000 and an annual attendance of more than 200,000. IN THE HEIGHTS - September 28 - October 17, 2010

In The Heights is a vibrant song and dance spectacular that has won Broadway's highest honors by first winning its heart. In the Heights tells a universal story set in Manhattan's Washington Heights - a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

A CHRISTMAS STORY: THE MUSICAL! - November 26 - December 30, 2010

Based on the classic 1983 movie, A Christmas Story: The Musical! invites you into the Indiana home of Ralphie Parker, a 9-year old kid who is desperate to win the most coveted holiday prize: An Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. With songs both funny and sentimental, A Christmas Story paints a refreshing holiday portrait of a simpler time in America. VANITIES: A NEW MUSICAL - February 4 - May 1, 2011

A special Northwest premiere produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, to be performed at the intimate Falls Theatre at ACT. In Vanities: A New Musical, you'll set off on a life-affirming journey through the turbulent '60s to the late '80s and discover how three friends face life's defining moments: growing up, getting older and getting over it. Vanities is a funny and poignant look at three women who discover that, even in 30 years of rapidly changing times, the one thing they can rely on is each other.
