A selection of UK theatres that are offering relaxed performances of their shows over the festive period
Relaxed performances have been developed to make theatre more accessible and enjoyable for a wider audience.
While venues might have slightly different variations on what this consists of (details are linked for each show) in general it allows for the audience to move around freely if needed, lighting and sound adjustments for sensory issues and a separate quiet space if needed with trained staff. With shows like pantomimes, sudden loud noises and bright lights may be removed for the performance.
