The Edinburgh Comedy Gala in Aid of Waverley Care Returns for its 10th Anniversary

Off The KERB Productions are proud to announce that the legendary Edinburgh Comedy Gala in aid of Waverley Care is back for its 10th anniversary celebration this August! The iconic Edinburgh Playhouse plays host to a top night of entertainment with an all-star cast from the world of comedy on Friday 18th August. Book early to avoid disappointment - always a sell out!

Taking up hosting duties this year is one of the UK's biggest and brightest comedians Rob Beckett, with another special guest host still to be announced.

Rob's cheeky chappy persona has seen him win fans across the country as well as become a regular on the small screen. Best known as team captain on Channel 4's 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Rob's other recent TV appearances include ITV1's star-studdEd Royal Variety Performance, E4's Celebs Go Dating, BBC1's Michael McIntyre's Big Show, Would I Lie To You? and Room 101, BBC2's Mock The Week, Channel 4's 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and ITV1's Play To The Whistle. Rob currently hosts Rock n Roll Football on Absolute Radio, as well as Dave's hugely popular podcast The Magic Sponge.

Rob Beckett said, "I am delighted to be hosting this year's 10th anniversary night of the Edinburgh Comedy Gala! I loved performing in 2015 alongside a brilliant line up and this year is no different. Here's to another 10 years of fundraising for Waverley Care."

2017 marks a the tenth year of partnership between Off The KERB Productions and Waverley Care, Scotland's biggest charity providing care and support to those living with HIV and Hepatitis C. All proceeds raised from the Edinburgh Comedy Gala go straight to supporting the life changing work of the charity. Since it's launch in 2003, the now annual event has raised almost £450,000, with this year's event looking set to topple the £500,000 mark, helping to make a positive difference to the lives of people affected by HIV and Hepatitis C in Scotland.

Grant Sugden, Chief Executive of Waverley Care said, "We continue to be immensely grateful to the many comedians who are willing to give of their time to help Waverley Care. Off The Kerb's continued support of Waverley Care helps us make an enormous difference to the lives of many people across Scotland who are living with HIV or Hepatitis C. And what better way to make that difference than through laughter!"

Showcasing some of the finest comedic talent at this year's Fringe, this year's Edinburgh Comedy Gala is set to be the must-see event for all comedy fans at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
