Movies to Musicals is back in its home town for the first time since 2020
After selling out the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall 3 years in a row (2018-20), and being the last show on before venues were closed for 2 years, Movies to Musicals is back in its home town for the first time since 2020.
Movies to Musicals returns with a bang, but this time at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow. This is the first time the show has been to this theatre and the cast are extremely excited.
After sell out shows at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and 2 years that saw the Arts come to a stop, Movies to Musicals is back in Glasgow with its biggest show to date.
This all singing, all dancing theatrical show at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow, takes place on Sunday 19th February, and brings you a night of your favourite Musicals and Movies Soundtracks performed by a Live Orchestra, Musical Theatre Cast and artists from London's West End.
The young cast, who appeared on the 2022 series of Britain's Got Talent, will be joined by West End royalty. Laura Pick, known for playing Elphaba in Wicked, Alistair Brammer, who has played Chris in Miss Saigon, Fiyero in Wicked and Marius in Les Miserables, and Louise Dearman, first woman to play Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked, Eva Peron in Evita and the Narrator in Joseph.
Approaching the 10th Anniversary, in 2024, of Movies to Musicals, the producer of Movies to Musicals, Ross Gunning, 28, is excited to get back to his home town of Glasgow with the show.

Glasgow Philharmonia SCIO looks for the stars of tomorrow every year to give them incredible opportunities to perform free of charge or for very little cost. 37 young performers have achieved a place in their Cast and are extremely excited about performing.
People can expect songs from Miss Saigon, Wicked, The Prom, Jersey Boys, Waitress, Hamilton and many more, this is a night not to be missed for any Musical fan.
Glasgow Philharmonia has given thousands of young performers opportunities for free over the past 10 years and continues to make waves in the performing arts industry.

For the successful members of the Kids Cast and Musical Theatre Cast, they will be attending a residential course at Ardentinny Outdoor Centre in Dunoon, where they have intense rehearsals ahead of the big show.
