Lights! Camera! Improvise! first premiered at the Festival in 2009, winning the 'New Best Improv Show' Award. Performing every year since, it has fast become a hugely popular Fringe favourite. Currently the biggest live improv show playing in the UK, Lights! Camera! Improvise! has been enjoying a new West End outing this year, performing monthly at the Duchess Theatre to sell-out houses. Lights! Camera! Improvise! is performed by Mischief Theatre members: Mike Bodie, Joshua Elliott, Dave Hearn, Henry Lewis, Charlie Russell, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Shields and Nancy Wallinger with a live improvised underscore by Richard Baker.
Mischief Theatre was founded in 2008 by a group of graduates from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and began as an improvised comedy group. The recent phenomenal success of their Olivier Award, Whatsonstage.com Award and Six Star Bobby Award winning comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong - which opened in the West End in September 2014 and continues to run at the Duchess Theatre - has put Mischief Theatre firmly in the spotlight, receiving phenomenal critical acclaim and attracting international attention from theatre producers worldwide.... Rumours of a Broadway transfer are hotting up! Edinburgh audiences also enjoyed Mischief's sequel production, Peter Pan Goes Wrong earlier this year, which performed at the King's Theatre as part of a major 30-week nationwide tour. The company is led by Artistic Director Henry Lewis and Company Director Jonathan Sayer.
