York's most critically acclaimed 'ghost hunter' Richard 'Dick' Barraclough will lead a gruesome guided tour around Scotland's most haunted city from 31 July - 26 August (no tours on the 14 or 15 August).
Join Dick as he weaves his way through the dark shadows and stories behind some of Edinburgh's most famous haunted location. Hear him regale about the Headless Drummer of the Edinburgh Castle. Tread the boards carefully as he teaches about the fiery conflagration of the Festival Theatre. This free guided tour is sure to send a shiver down the spine and make even the most courageous quake in their shoes.
The tour will start the Scotch Whisky Experience at the top of the Royal Mile at 7 p.m.
The Ghost Hunter's Haunted Walk of Edinburgh has been approved by Edinburgh City Council and is produced by London's masters of theatrical horror Theatre of Damned, the same team behind last year's critically acclaimed production of AS YE SOW.
Richard 'Dick' Barraclough is a character created by Stewart Pringle and performed by Tom Richards - and whilst the character may be fictional, the tour and its stories are not. This completely free tour runs in conjunction with and complements THE GHOST HUNTER - which transfers to the festival following a 4 week run in London and will play daily at The Pleasance Courtyard at 2 p.m. from 3-14 August and 16-26 August with previews on 31 July and 1-2 August. Visitors on the free Haunted Tour of Edinburgh will be entitled to a time-sensitive money saving offer on the main production.
