Last week the International Festival got the August party started with three late-night editions of Club Cumming at The Hub.
Host Alan Cumming took to the stage just after midnight to welcome the audience before hitting the decks with a mixture of show tunes, disco and pop classics. He also welcomed a variety of special guests to the stage - Scottish film star Brian Cox, theatre director John Tiffany, cabaret legend Meow Meow, Glasgow-based singer-songwriter Frances Thorburn., and Jesus L'Oréal Christ - better known as Edinburgh cabaret performer Chris JS Wilson.
Also thrown into the mix was a competition - two truths, one lie - which saw Audience members join Alan on stage to swap statements, being rewarded with a gift from Alan's fragrance collection as a prize. Club Cumming began in Alan's Studio 54 dressing room after performances of Cabaret on Broadway and carries on the party post Alan's cabaret show Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs.
This weekend Club Cumming returns to The Hub, and is on for a further four nights in total, taking place on 20, 21, 26 and 27 Augustfrom midnight until late.
Ticket holders for the late show of Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs on these dates can buy tickets to Club Cumming at performances. Those not attending Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs can either buy a ticket on the door for £10 (cash and card accepted) or pre-book them online via the International Festival website at eif.co.uk/2016/clubcumming where a limited number of tickets are now available.
Get ready for more special guests, more musical mashups and a lot more dancing.
