September sees the return of the Arches Live festival (17th- 28th September) featuring brave new performances and exploring every nook and cranny of the cavernous venue. Following this is the return of Rob Drummond's sell-out show Bullet Catch (1st- 13th October) which since its last run at The Arches has gone out to sell out shows in Edinburgh, London, Brazil and New York. Each night, an audience member will be asked to fire a gun live on stage, as Rob Drummond attempts the most infamous stunt of them all, so dangerous Houdini himself refused to perform it. Bullet Catch is described as "a unique theatrical show featuring magic, storytelling, mind reading, levitation, games of chance and, if you're brave enough to stay for it, the most notorious finale in show business".
At Glasgow King's Theatre my autumn highlights include the Glasgow premiere of the visually spectacular Ghost (1st- 19th October); new musical Carnaby Street (4th- 9th November) and the classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (25th- 30th November).
And finally the show I'm most looking forward to this season in Edinburgh is the touring production of Cabaret starring Will Young at the Edinburgh King's Theatre (21st- 26th October). Also returning this year is the Rent In Concert tour. With a slight cast change from the April/May tour the show now features Natasha Hamilton in the role of Maureen and is at Edinburgh King's Theatre on 16th November (it is also at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium on 17th November).
