Martha l. Luigi Choral Scholarship

Martha Luigi began a tradition of award winning choirs in Aransas County ISD. When she died prematurely from cancer, the high school auditorium was named after her. Good friend, Cecile Frost, set up a scholarship in her honor to award one graduating senior per year from Rockport-Fulton High School with a scholarship to pursue a degree leading to certification in choral music.

Applicants must:

-Reside in Aransas County at the time of initial award

-Be a graduating high school senior at Rockport-Fulton High School

-Plan to attend college or university the fall immediately following graduation

-Be enrolled in high school choir class for the fall and spring terms of junior and senior years

-Must be enrolled full-time and majoring in a music degree program leading to certification in vocal performance, musical theater or teaching certification in choral music

-Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA

-Will be renewed each year for 4 years total upon submission of a scholarship application each year
