THE SHOWBased on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek the Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears.Dingbat's production of Shrek will be condensed down to a cast of eight multi-talented performers who will portray all the roles in the story from the Dragon guarding the tower, to the delusional wooden puppet Pinocchio, and even the three blind mice. Normally the show is done with upwards of thirty cast members! The show will be presented in an avant garde, story theatre style with punk rock influences. Shadows, actor's physicality, and costume pieces will assist in presenting this fairy tale world in a new and exciting way.
