Alive-and-kicking theater is coming to the Ringling International Art Festival this fall.

If you've never heard of WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, you're not alone. It is the international theatrical sensation that no-one is allowed to talk about.
Forbidden to leave his native Iran, Soleimanpour has distilled the experience of a generation born amidst the hardship of the Iran-Iraq war into a wild, utterly original play. BUT the script arrives in a sealed envelope. The actor who performs it has never seen it. There is no rehearsal. There is no direction. In fact, there is a new actor for every performance, and each new actor is told only one thing: "Once you start, you must finish... NO MATTER WHAT." Slyly humorous and audaciously pointed, this theater-entertainment-meets-social-experiment is unlike anything you've experienced.
WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT has been performed over one thousand times worldwide by such acclaimed actors as Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, Alan Cumming, Martin Short, Sinead Cusack, F. Murray Abraham, Cynthia Nixon, Stephen Rea, and John Hurt.
In Sarasota, RIAF is joining forces with the artists of Urbanite Theatre to present this provocative new drama.
First Night: WANTED
October 18 @ 6:30 PM
RIAF 2017 First Night begins with a celebration in the West Courtyard of the Museum of Art featuring a performance of WANTED by eVenti Verticali. A special presentation will feature our Guest Artists and a preview of what lies ahead. Enjoy hors d'oeurvres, complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks (cash bar available).
The evening includes an 8:00 PM performance of WANTED by eVenti Verticali.
