The 2018 plays and playwrights are:

"We had 69 play submissions this year from a variety of playwrights," said Don Walker,
Theatre Odyssey's Board President. "It's another exciting opportunity for us to fulfill our mission of producing original theatrical works to share with our community."

Auditions for the 2018 Theatre Odyssey Ten-Minute Play Festival will be held on Monday, March 19, from 6 - 8p.m. at the Center for Arts & Humanity, 1226 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. After the slate of plays has been selected for production, we will provide the available roles to review. No appointment or monologues are required, and no actor will be cast in more than two plays. Actors will be asked to read sides from selected plays.

Theatre Odyssey is a theater company located on Florida's Gulf Coast in Sarasota. Founded in 2006, the company provides a nurturing environment to encourage, inspire, and challenge local playwrights and actors. It currently produces two annual events: The Ten-Minute Play Festival in the spring and the Student Ten-Minute Playwriting Festival in the winter. From its beginning, Theatre Odyssey has shared revenue with its actors, directors, and stage crews, and it awards cash prizes to festival-winning playwrights. The 2018 Ten-Minute Playwriting Festival is supported in part by our Season Presenter, CAN Community Health, and the Dorothy B. Templeton Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Sarasota Scene Magazine, and WUSF Public Media.
