From August 22 to 27, you'll have the chance to experience a never-before-produced play by a local playwright! Last year's winner of The Players New Play Festival, Mammoth Bones by Connie Schindewolf, will make its debut in the Backstage Theatre with costumes, sets, lights and a slate of talented local actors. It's an exciting opportunity for the playwright to see their work come to life and for the community to see something completely new and a little different!

Story: In this insightful and clever play, Robert hears the sounds of ancient mammoths after finding a bone in his yard. Is he communicating with the spirits of the past or is his medication playing with his mind? The show straddles the threshold of sanity holding on by the unbreakable bonds of family.

Directed by Carole Kleinberg with help from Stage Manager Penn Rose, Costumes by Donna DeFant, lighting design by Alyssa Goudy and set design by Ken Junkins, you'll have the rare chance to see this brand new piece of art blossom on our stage.

The show will take place in The Players Backstage black box theatre.
